AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING PANEL: INSPECTION

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HEATER CONTROL BASE

(a) Check the resistance of the fresh/recirc switch.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

If the result is not as specified, replace the heater control base.

(b) Check the recirc indicator operation.

(1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (A/C+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (REC).
(2) Push the fresh/recirc switch in and check that the indicator lights up.

OK:
Indicator lights up
If the result is not as specified, replace the heater control base.

(c) Check the illumination operation.

(1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 7 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 6 (ILL-), then check that the bulb

illuminates.
