(i) Using a screwdriver, stake the nut with the lock plate.

(j) Install the control shaft lever with the nut.

Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(k) Install the transmission control cable assembly into the control shaft lever with the nut.

Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(l) Connect the connector to the park/neutral position switch assembly.

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

6. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY See: Testing and Inspection/On-Vehicle Inspection
