Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag

1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
(a) Engage the 6 claws and insert the 2 pins into the holes to install the steering angle sensor onto the spiral cable.
2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation
3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER See: Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
4. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation
5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY See: Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
6. INSTALL STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation
7. TURN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
