Removal

SUSPENSION: REAR AXLE BEAM: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE:  Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

3. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal
4. LOOSEN WIRE ADJUSTING NUT See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear

5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and

Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and

Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, clamp, and rear floor side member brace sub-assembly.

8. SEPARATE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for LH Side)

(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.

NOTICE:  Be careful not to damage the rear speed sensor.
