(j) Connect the 2 connectors.

2. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION See: Shifter A/T/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
3. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION See: Shifter A/T/Testing and Inspection/U241E Automatic Transaxle/On-Vehicle Inspection
4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Install the front upper No. 1 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using vernier calipers, measure the free length of the compression spring.

Minimum length:
38.5 mm (1.516 in.)

If the length is not as specified, replace the compression spring.
