NOTICE:  Perform the operation carefully as some fluid will come out from the oil strainer.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the valve body oil strainer assembly.

5. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION WIRE

(a) Disconnect the 5 shift solenoid valve connectors.
(b) Remove the bolt and lock plate and separate the ATF temperature sensor.

6. REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Support the valve body assembly and remove the 17 bolts and the transmission valve body assembly.

NOTICE:  Be careful not to drop the check ball body, spring and accumulator piston.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the groove on the manual valve with the pin of the lever.
(b) Install the transmission valve body assembly with the 17 bolts.

Torque: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
-

Push the valve body against the accumulator piston springs and check ball body to install the valve body.

First, temporarily tighten the bolts marked with (1) in the illustration because they are positioning bolts.
