Removing / fitting the gear lever knob and cover
Removing / fitting the gear lever knob and cover

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Detaching
–  Remove the gear selection lever cover from the centre console → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68
  Note
The gear lever knob is removed together with the gear lever cover and central console frame.

–  Turn back cover upwards, over knob.

–  Open tightening clamp -arrow- and remove knob with gear lever cover.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Fit knob with cover, as far as they will go, onto gear lever.
  A34-0605
–  Secure gear lever knob with tightening clamp using the pliers -T20072A -. Measurement -A- = 4 mm ± 0.2
–  Insert the gear selection lever cover into the centre console → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68
