Renewing left drive flange oil seal
Renewing left drive flange oil seal
–  Unbolt drive shaft and tie up.
   
–  Pull drive flange with output shaft out of sun wheel by turning bolt -A- (M 10 x 100). When doing this, place a chisel or spacer -B- under drive flange.
If the drive flange is tilted during the removal procedure, screw a bolt into the hole on the opposite side in order to pull it out.
–  Lever oil seal out using assembly lever.

–  Drive in new oil seal to stop.
Half-fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Clamp output shaft with drive flange in vice using protective jaw covers.

–  Use new circlip -A- to press old circlip out of groove in output shaft.
–  Drive in output shaft with drive flange using plastic headed hammer.
–  Renew drive flange/drive shaft seal (pull off protective foil and glue seal into joint).
–  Reconnect drive shaft flanges.
–  Check rear final drive oil → Chapter.
