Removing and installing cable locking mechanism

–  Pull locking mechanisms on gate selector cable and gear selector cable forward to stop in direction of arrow -1- and then turn to left to lock in direction of arrow -2-.

Selector mechanisms through 10.02 –  Pry off gate selector cable -A- and gear selector cable -B- using an open jaw spanner. 1 -  13 mm open jaw spanner, commercially available –  Renew cable end-pieces each time they are removed.

–  Before installing, spread a small amount of grease -G 000 450 02- in recesses of cable end-pieces -A- and -B-.   Note! The seals -arrows- outside the recess must be free of grease.

–  Press gear selector cable onto gearbox selector lever and gate selector cable onto relay lever -arrows-.

Selector mechanisms from 11.02 Cable end-pieces are equipped with holes for securing them to gearbox selector lever or relay lever. –  Remove securing clip -4- for gear selector cable from gearbox selector lever -1-. –  Remove securing clip -3- for gate selector cable from relay lever -2-. –  Pull gate selector cable and gear selector cables off pins -arrows-. The cable end-pieces no longer need to be renewed after being dismantled.

Allocation of cable end-pieces The holes in the cable end-pieces have different diameters.

Cable end-piece for	Dimension “a”
Gear selector cable to gearbox selector lever	10 mm
Gate selector cable to relay lever	8 mm

–  Insert selector cable and gate cable into respective cable end-pieces.

–  Spread a small quantity of grease -G 000 450 02- on pins -arrows- of gearbox selector lever -1- and relay lever -2-. Continued for all selector mechanisms Adjusting selector mechanism (through gearbox date 12 01 3) → Chapter. Adjusting selector mechanism (from gearbox date 13 01 3) → Chapter.
