Removing
–  Remove engine cover → Booklet2.
–  Remove the air filter housing, the air hose and the air conduit hoses → Rep. Gr.24 and → Rep. Gr.23.
–  Remove knob with gear lever cover → Chapter.
–  Extract the complete centre console over the gear operation mechanism → Rep. Gr.68.
   
–  Unscrew nuts -arrows-.
–  Remove the idler rod → Chapter

–  Release the circlip -1- and, unscrewing the nut, remove the connection rod.

–  Remove the support -arrows- for control cables from the gearbox and lay to one side.
–  Raise the vehicle.
–  Remove the cardan shaft → Final group 0AV; Rep. Gr.39

–  Release clips -arrows- and remove heat shield together with gear selector mechanism.
