Removal: –  Remove engine cover → Booklet101. –  With the ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap → Rep. gr.27. –  Remove the air filter housing, the air hose and the air conduit hoses → Rep. gr.24 and → Rep. gr.23. –  Remove battery. → Rep. gr.27

–  Release bolts -arrows- and remove battery mounting. –  Fit a lint-free cloth under the clutch master cylinder.

–  Choke the backflow hose from the brake fluid reservoir using the pressure tool - U-30042 -.

–  Release the spring-type clip -3-. –  Extract the backflow hose. –  Pull out the clamp retaining clip -2- which attaches the pipe / hose, up to the stop from the clutch master cylinder. –  Pull pipe / hose assembly -1- out of master cylinder and seal end of pipe.

–  When removing the master cylinder-side hose, use the clutch circuit seal -SAT 1210- . –  When removing the hose in the bleeding screw, use the sealing clutch circuit - SAT 1211- master cylinder side. –  Then, remove the Clutch position sender -G476- → Chapter. –  Move the driver's seat back as far as possible and place the steering wheel in the highest position. –  Remove the cover, driver's side → Rep. gr.68.

–  Carefully cut the cable ties -1-. –  If there is one, remove the cable guide -2- of the steering column. –  Remove the vent from the foot well area -3-.

–  Screw out bolts -1-, -2- and -5- remove lower lining of steering column.

–  Remove the cover -1- located below the steering column with the lever - U-30800- acting at the indicated points -arrows-.

–  Remove the anticollision reinforcement -A-. To do so, remove the bolts -B-.

–  Loosen the nuts -arrows- which secure the support stand, as explained below:

–  Push upwards and to the left -arrow- the cable harness -1- with the extension -2-. –  Loosen the upper nut which secures the support stand. –  Then, loosen the two lower nuts and remove the support stand.
