Removing and installing relay lever and cable end-piece
Removing and installing relay lever and cable end-piece
l  Relay lever and cable end-piece are removed and installed together.
   
This will avoid damage to the gate selector cable.
–  Pull locking mechanism forwards in direction of -arrow 1- onto stop and then turn to left in direction of -arrow 2- to lock.
–  Then press relay lever forwards (in direction of -arrow 3-).
Relay lever with catch -arrow 1-
–  Press detent -arrow 1- down onto stop and remove relay lever together with cable end-piece. Move relay lever in normal direction of operation.

Cable end-piece must be behind detent -arrow 2-.
Relay lever with clip -arrow 1-
–  Pull clip -arrow 1- off and remove relay lever together with cable end-piece.

Cable end-piece must be behind detent -arrow 2-.
Continuation for all vehicles
l  Detach cable end-piece only when relay lever is removed → Fig..
  Note
t  When installing, lubricate bearing positions and sliding surfaces.
t  Allocate grease using → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).
–  Press cable end-piece onto relay lever → Fig..
–  Install relay lever together with cable end-piece .

l  Fastener -arrow 1- secures relay lever (⇒ previous figure).
l  Ensure that components engage securely.
l  Cable end-piece must be located behind catch -arrow 2- (⇒ previous figure).

l  Clip -arrow 1- secures relay lever (⇒ previous figure).
l  Ensure that components engage securely.
l  Cable end-piece must be located behind catch -arrow 2- (⇒ previous figure).

l  Relay lever is removed.
–  Insert a flat-blade screwdriver -A- between bush -B- and relay lever.

Pressing on cable end-piece
l  Relay lever is removed.
l  Press on cable end-piece only at bush -arrow-.
l  Cable end-piece must move freely on relay lever.
l  It must be located behind catch.
