Safety precautions

Note!

Test conditions:

● Selector lever in position "P" and handbrake applied.
● Vehicle voltage supply in order.
● Fuses 14, 15 and 18 OK.
● Check earth connections for gearbox:

‒ Check earth connections for corrosion and poor contact; repair if necessary.
‒ Earth connection point is located in engine compartment, left below battery.
‒ Check battery earth strap and earth strap between battery and gearbox.

All functions which could previously be performed with V.A.G 1551/1552 can also be performed with the new tester VAS 5051 in the operating mode vehicle self-diagnosis:
