Non-deteriorated windscreen: removing
–  Remove upper and lower tailgate trim → Tailgate linings, removing ; Rep. gr.70.
–  Remove the rear window wiper motor → Removing and installing rear window wiper motor; Rep. gr.92
   
–  Remove the rubber seal of the rear window wiper motor -Arrow-.
–  Separate the plug connections of the rear window heater and press the connecting tabs against the glass.

–  Guide the needle -1- through the adhesive bead in the area of the centring element of the rear window by using the handle of the window removal kit -VAG 1755-.
–  Unscrew the handle of the window removal kit -VAG 1755-.
–  Thread an end of the cutting thread or wire in the needle and guide the needle with the cutting thread or wire into the interior of the vehicle.
–  Place the cutting thread or wire around the glass.
–  Press the cutting thread on by using a lever -U 30800-, if the gap width is too tight.
–  Thread the other end of the cutting thread or wire into the needle -1- and guide into the interior of the vehicle in the area of the centring element of the rear window.

–  Attach one end of the cutting thread or wire on the pull handle -VAG 1351/1--2-.
–  Attach the other end of the cutting thread or wire to the winding device -VAG 1654A--1-.

–  Place the double suction cups -VAG 1654A- to „position I“ and release the window by rolling up the cutting thread or wire onto the coil.
–  Move the double suction cups -VAG 1654A- to the position shown in the figure and release the window by separating the glue seam.
–  Remove the handle, thread both cutting threads or wire ends into the needle and pull inside.
–  Secure one end of the cutting thread or wire to the handle of the cutting fixture -VAG 1474B--2-.
–  When cutting the cutting thread or wire, press it onto the pane by using the wedge -VAG 1474/5-.
  WARNING
The use of protective glasses and leather gloves is obligatory.
When cutting the cutting thread or wire, press it onto the rear window by using the wedge -VAG 1474/5-.
