Removing side window
Removing side window
–  Remove the holder of the rear stowage compartment → Rear stowage compartment holder removing and installing; Rep. gr.70.
–  Remove top C-pillar panelling → Remove and install top C-pillar panelling; Rep. gr.70
–  Remove bottom C-pillar panelling (without airbag) → Bottom C-pillar panelling removal and installation (without airbag); Rep. gr.70
–  Remove bottom C-pillar trim (with airbag) → Bottom C-pillar trim removal and installation (with airbag); Rep. gr.70
   
–  Transfer the position of the centring nipple for the window to the outer side of the vehicle, e.g. using bodywork tape.
  WARNING
The use of protective glasses and leather gloves is obligatory.
On cutting the adhesive cord take care not to damage the flange.

–  Using an electric knife -SAT 1561- and the set of blades -SAT 1561/20-, cut the glue seam from the inside of the vehicle
t  Section A: Blade 45 mm
t  Section B: Blade 18 mm
  Note
Do not cut the gluing seam in the -C- area.

–  In the area of the nipple -arrow-, insert the electric knife with 45 mm blade from the set of blades -SAT 1561/20- diagonally to -line A- and -line B-. When doing so, take care that the sealing profile -arrow C- of the outer side of the vehicle is not damaged.
  WARNING
On cutting the adhesive cord take care not to damage the chassis flange.
If the sealing profile is damaged when removing, the side window must be replaced.
