  Note
All cable ties that have been loosened or cut-off when removing must be refitted at the same location when reinstalling.
–  Switch off ignition and remove key.
–  Remove front bumper lining → Chapter.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air duct -2-

–  Disconnect the connectors -arrow- on the headlights.
–  Separate the connectors of the airbag sensors.

–  Separate the left and right connectors -1- of the alarm horns -2-.

–  Depending on the version, remove the air ducts of the intercooler -arrows-.

–  Disconnect and remove the connectors -1- and -2- from the support.
–  Place the electric connectors to the side.
–  Unhook control cable from bonnet lock → Chapter.

–  Loosen mounting elements -2-, -3- and -5-, and remove front noise insulation.

–  Remove the air duct hose to the charged air cooler on the left side of the lock carrier of the bonnet-arrow-.
–  Remove the air duct hose to the exhaust gas turbocharger at the bottom right of the lock carrier of the bonnet.

–  Unscrew the left and right screws -arrows- in the lock carrier.

–  Unscrew the screw -arrow- and remove the coolant expansion tank from its bracket.

–  Unscrew the bolts -3- and attach the centre guides -T20070-in their place.
–  Remove bolts -2-.
–  Push the lock carrier -1- approx. 90 mm over the guide pins -T20070-.
  Note
If the lock carried should have to be pushed on a little further, the coolant hoses must be removed from the radiator.
