Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-
  L00-10226
t  Centre guide -T20070-
–  Remove central sound proofing → Chapter.
–  Remove front bumper → Chapter
  Note
Before releasing the headlamp washer hose connection, prepare a recipient to hold the liquid that may spill.
–  Remove the flexible hose of the headlamp washer pump by pressing the locking clip and cap it.
–  Remove nozzle on charge air cooler (depending on model)
–  Remove temperature sensor for outdoor air temperature -G17-.

–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the air duct hose.
–  Remove fixed lateral guides. → Item
–  Unhook control cable from lock → Chapter
–  Disconnect electrical connectors on main headlamps
–  Disconnect connector for thermostatic switch for radiator fan -F18-.
  A10-1849
–  Unscrew hex. head bolts -1- and -3- for mounting lock carrier on body.
–  Insert centring guide -T20070- into free threaded holes for bolts -3-.
–  Pull lock carrier -6- toward front, until it is in the service position.

  Note
   
Do not excessively tension or kink radiator and condenser lines.
