Removing and installing sill panel cover
  Note
Only the left side is shown. Removal and installation on the right side of the vehicle are similar.
Carry out following work:
Removal
–  Loosen bolts -2-.
–  Remove sill panel cover -1- downwards.
Installation
  DANGER!
Check the two gas-tight spreader nuts -3- for damage and renew if necessary.
The expanding nuts seal the passenger compartment against exhaust gases. If damaged, they must be replaced under all circumstances.
  Note
Check spreader nut -4- for damage and renew if necessary.
–  Position sill panel cover.
–  Tighten bolt -2- to specified torque 2 Nm.
