–  Apply adhesive using the cartridge glue gun -SAT 5350- or cartridge glue gun -SAT 5360- around the window perimeter, onto the primer coat -1- or onto the trimmed bead of adhesive, at right angles to the glass.
  WARNING
The window must have been fitted 10 minutes after applying the glue seam. Fitting at a later time results in the following adhesive effect.
t  Place the glass in the space for it using the two suction pads -VAG 1344-, centre it and press it until the spacing core.
t  Rear window gaps → Chapter
t  Fasten windscreen with window adjusters → Parts catalogue.
In vehicles with rear view mirrors without complements

–  After installing windscreen, install interior rear view mirror -1- by positioning turned 60 ÷ 90° to installation position and turn -Arrow- until arresting spring catches.
In vehicles with rain sensor and light regulation photo sensor rear view mirror
–  Remove any Vaseline adhering to the window or rain sensor and clean contact surfaces.

–  Apply new lay of gel to sensor surface -Arrow-.
–  Attach rain sensor to centre of interior rear view mirror mounting plate.

–  Attach covers -3- on electrical lines.
–  Slide mirror base onto mounting plate and press upward -Arrow-.
–  Attach connectors -2- and arrest in mirror base.
–  Arrest covers -1- on mirror base.
–  After installation of the rear window on the Ibiza, install the wiper motor and wiper → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.92
t  Rear window gaps → Chapter
t  During the hardening time, fix the windscreen with adhesive tape.
t  If the sticking cord applied is very thick, and the adhesive spreads to the window heater zone, this adhesive must be removed once it is dry.
