Deteriorated rear windscreen: removing > < Rear window for Cordoba: removing and fitting

–  Pull off connections for heated rear window and press connecting tabs onto window.
–  Remove sealing lip from the glass flange using the lever -U 30800- and spray the glass flange with a soap solution or neutral Vaseline.
   
–  Use handle from window removal kit -VAG 1755- to insert needle -1- below sealing lip -2- and through glue bead (start at one side of window at bottom).
–  Unscrew the handle of the window removal kit -VAG 1755-.
–  Thread in one end of the cutting thread or wire into the eye of the needle -1- and feed the needle together with the cutting thread or wire into the vehicle interior.
–  Lay the cutting thread or wire around the window. Press cutting thread or wire with lever -U 30800- if gap is too narrow.
–  Thread one end of the cutting thread or wire in the needle -1- and guide the needle with the cutting thread or wire into the interior of the vehicle.

–  Hold one end of cutting thread or wire with handle -V.A.G. 1351/2-.
–  Fix the other end of the cutting thread or wire to the winding unit on thecutting device -VAG 1474B-.
–  Convert the winding device everywhere accordingly, in order to cut the glass as precisely as possible.
–  During the cut, press the cutting wire against the glass with the lever -U 30800- to obtain space in the glass flange.
  WARNING
The use of protective glasses and leather gloves is obligatory.
