Power window motor in rear door: removing and installing See corresponding table for tools and equipment depending on applicability for Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010- t  Disassembly → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor Disassembly   Note The door control unit is integrated into the power window motor. –  Temporarily connect the power window switch connectors to the door control unit and turn the ignition key to the contact position.   Caution If the window in the door cannot be moved with the power window motor, determine exact cause of malfunction. Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X-   Note If power window motor cannot be operated, proceed as described in → Chapter. –  Actuate power window switch and roll window up to top stop. Disconnect contact –  Remove lining on rear door. → Bodywork, interior assembly work; Rep. Gr.70

–  Disconnect connector -1- on power window motor.

–  Remove screws -3-, located in mounting bolts -2- for power window unit, and remove power window motor together with door control unit -1-. –  If present, save washers located between power window motor and door unit sub-frame. Installing –  If necessary roll window up to top stop. –  If present, save washers located between power window motor and door unit sub-frame.   Caution It is possible for the mounting bolts to unhook from the door unit sub-frame when installing the power window motor. To prevent this follow the steps shown precisely.

–  Position power window motor -1- across from mounting bolts -2- for power window unit and tighten each screw -3- at least two turns without exerting pressure. –  Carefully push with the three mounting screws inserted to arrest the grooved shaft on the power window motor in the power window mechanism. –  Only when one of the mounting bolts is unhooked, remove front woofer loudspeaker → Radio, telephone, navigation; Rep. Gr.91 Insert hand into recess in loudspeaker and hook mounting bolts for power window mechanism into door unit sub-frame.

–  Tighten bolts -3- for power window motor-1-. t  Tightening torque: 3 Nm

–  Connect connectors -Arrows- on power window motor. –  Install interior lining on front door: → Bodywork, interior assembly work; Rep. Gr.70 –  Perform operation for synchronising and storing window operation only when no further manipulations are required → Chapter. –  It is necessary to activate the one-touch up and down functions. → Chapter
