Disassembly
l  It is NOT necessary to remove the entire window guide to remove the outer window shaft seal
–  Remove lining on rear door. → Bodywork, interior assembly work; Rep. Gr.70
–  Remove the window → Chapter.
  Caution
Remove window guide uniformly without bending.
The inner part of the window guide is metal. If it is bent, it is not possible to return it to the original shape.

–  Remove only rear part of window guide -1-: for this purpose first drive window guide out of door frame -2- by pulling toward outside by hand. If required use lever -U 30800- as aid and position at each mounting wedge -Arrow- on window guide.
–  Continue to remove window guide downward until it unhooks from the window shaft seal on the outside.
  Caution
Remove window shaft seal uniformly without bending.
The inner part of the window shaft seal is metal. If it is bent, it is not possible to return it to the original shape.
–  Use lever -U 30800- as aid to remove clips -1- from ends.

–  Use flat screwdriver of appropriate side to turn each mounting clip -2- until the groove is in a horizontal position. Evenly remove exterior window shaft seal -3-. Use wedge -T10039/1- if required.
Installing
  Caution
install window shaft seal uniformly without bending.
The inner part of the window shaft seal is metal. If it is bent, it is not possible to return it to the original shape.
Always replace damaged clips.
–  Position new clips in each opening in window shaft seal.
l  The grooves should be in a horizontal position.

–  Position window shaft seal -3- on door and press in each mounting clip -2- with aid of flat screwdriver and turn 90º, until groove is in a vertical position.
–  Press in clips -1-.
  Caution
Install window guide uniformly without bending.
The inner part of the window guide is metal. If it is bent, it is not possible to return it to the original shape.
–  Install part of window guide removed: For this purpose first press end of guide in until it catches in the outer window shaft seal - the groove on the retaining wedge for the window guide must be flush with the door frame.
–  Press forcefully against the window guide at the height of the retaining wedge. If necessary drive in retaining wedge for window guide completely with aid of rubber hammer.
–  Continue to install window guide in direction of upper rear edge of door frame in the same manner until it is completely arrested in the door frame.
–  Install window → Chapter
–  Install lining on rear door. → Bodywork, interior assembly work; Rep. Gr.70
