The description only applies to the left middle guide rail. The work for right middle guide rail is analogous.
1 - Panel
2 - zinc intermediate plate
q   zinc intermediate plate -AKL 381 035 50-
3 - Bolt.
q   For guide rail
q   7 off
q   Tightening torque: 8 Nm
4 - Guide rail
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
5 - Cover
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
6 - Bolt.
q   For cover
q   2 off
q   Tightening torque: 8 Nm
7 - Panel
8 - Expanding nut
q   Gas-tight.
q   2 off
  DANGER!
Check gas-tight spreader nuts for damage and renew if necessary.
The expanding nuts seal the passenger compartment against exhaust gases. If damaged, they must be replaced under all circumstances.
9 - Retaining strip
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
