Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror: functioning
The interior automatic anti-dazzle rear-view mirror darkens progressively when the driver is dazzled from behind
This rear view mirror consists of a mirror and an electronic component with two photosensors.
Through the photo sensors, the electronic device detects inciding light from the front and rear
If the inciding light from the rear is greater than that from the front, a current is applied to the conductive layer
The current modifies the colour of the electrolyte. The greater the current, the darker the electrolyte layer. The incident light is not reflected as brightly
On engaging reverse gear the anti-dazzle function is switched off. Thus one can leave a dark garage, for example, driving in reverse and using the interior rear-view mirror
