Airbag control unit -J234-: removing
  DANGER!
The Airbag control Unit -J234- is earthed via contact with the chassis. For this reason under no circumstances should the Airbag control Unit -J234- be subjected to any electrical testing when out of position.
  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Pay attention to coding (obtain as necessary) for vehicles with coded radio/radio navigation system (RNS).
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the centre console → Chapter.
   
–  Turn the latch -2- in the opposite direction to the -arrow- and remove connector -3- from the control unit -1-.
–  Remove the dome-headed bolts -4- (3x) and remove the control unit -1-.
