DANGER! | The airbag control unit -J234- is connected to earth over its body mount. For this reason the airbag control unit -J234- cannot be tested electrically after it is removed from its mount. |

| Before disconnecting the connectors, mark them to avoid confusion when refitting. |

| Before working on the electrical system, disconnect the battery earth strap. |
| t
| After connecting the battery, check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows, etc.) according to the instructions in the Repair Manual and / or the Operating Instructions. |

| Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers. |

| Remove the central console covers → Item. |
| –
| Remove bracket for side cover on centre console → Chapter. |
