  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Before working with the head airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Pay attention to coding (obtain as necessary) for vehicles with coded radio/radio navigation system (RNS).
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the upper lining of strut A → Chapter.
–  Partially remove the upper lining of strut B → Chapter.
  Note
To remove the Airbag it is not necessary to remove the front support fitting.
Depending on version:
–  Remove the upper lining of strut C, Ibiza 4-door → Chapter.
–  Remove the upper lining of strut C, Cordoba → Chapter.
–  Remove interior roof moulding → Chapter.
–  Remove interior roof moulding with sun roof/deflector → Chapter.
   
All vehicles (continued):
–  Detach connector -10-.
–  Remove bolts -6- securing the bag of the head Airbag.
–  Hold the gas generator while removing the bolts -9-.
–  Unclip the head Airbag -8- from the fastening clips -7- and remove.
–  Once the head airbag is dismounted, store in the container provided for transport or on a clean, flat surface.
