  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Pay attention to coding (obtain as necessary) for vehicles with coded radio/radio navigation system (RNS).
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the front seat → Chapter.
  Note
The side airbag adapt. -VAS 5232- should be always connected in the dismounting procedure.
   
–  Position the rear seat in the seat bracket -T20172/5-.
–  Remove the front seat back → Chapter.

–  Remove the rear seat bench from the seat bracket -T20172/5- and position the rear seat backrest.
–  Remove the rear seat back cover → Chapter.

–  Unscrew bolts -2-.

  Note
The side airbag adapt. -VAS 5232--5- should be always connected in the removal procedure.
–  Remove the side impact airbag -1- from the housing on the seat back frame.
