| Driver´s side knee airbag: Install |
| Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following: |

| If an airbag has triggered, renew storage compartment (knee bolster) as well as left and right support → Chapter. |
WARNING | Before handling the airbag components (for example to separate the electric plug connection), the person concerned must discharged electrostatically. for example by briefly grasping hold of door striker plate. |

| Make sure connector for knee airbag engages audibly with coupling. |
| –
| Switch on ignition with battery disconnected. |
WARNING | Make sure nobody is in the vehicle when the battery is being connected. |

Note | If the airbag warning lamp -K75- indicates a fault following installation, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 505X- to read-out, erase and then re-read the fault memory. |
