Removing and installing backrest adjustment wheel

The backrest adjustment wheel is installed on the following seats:

t	Front seats with manual height adjustment

t	Front passenger seat without height adjustment

Note

Removal and installation are described for the left vehicle side. Follow same instructions for the right side as appropriate.

Removing

–	Turn backrest adjusting wheel -1- until a detent can be seen from the rear -arrow A-. Use a torch if necessary.

–	Turn the steering wheel 120°.

–	Hook in assembly tool -3399- and lever it in -direction of arrow B-.

–	Remove backrest adjuster wheel.

Installing

–	Install in reverse order of removal.

Note

If backrest adjustment wheel is too loose following assembly, it must be renewed.
