Removing and installing push button with trim for adjusting mechanism of child seat > < Removing and installing seat cushion cover and padding

removing
–  Mount the holder for seat repair -VAS 6136- on the engine and gearbox jack -VAS 6095-.
–  Remove front seat trim → Chapter.
–  Remove seat → Chapter.
–  Fasten seat on seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove side trims → Chapter.
   
–  Press the foot rest -1- out of their mountings in seat frame using the removal wedge -3409-.
–  Open the zip -2- starting at the back.
–  Lift the cover -3- up to the seat bench.

   
–  Unscrew the nuts -5- (10 Nm) and remove the seat bench -1- with mountings -2- and -3- from the seat frame.
–  Remove the stretch cover -4- from the seat frame.

   
–  Remove the clips -4- from the seat pan.
–  Remove the profile -3- from the seat pan.
–  Remove the cover -1- and padding -2- from the seat frame.
–  Take cover -1- off padding -2-.

   
–  Remove the profile -2- from the trim.
–  Remove the profile -3 - from both sides of the child seat adjustment unit.
–  Remove all padding clips -5- on both sides as well as at the back.
–  Remove the cover -1- from its mount -4-.

   
–  Push the cover -1- up over the padding -4- until the clips -2- and -3- can be accessed.
  Note
The outer clips -3- are joined to the child seat adjusting unit -5-.
–  Remove all clips -2- and -3-.
–  Remove the cover -1- and padding -4- from the child seat adjusting unit -5-.

Installation
–  Installation is carried out in reverse order.
  Note
t  Use upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634- to install new upholstery clips.
t  Use the pliers -VAS 6138- to close the zip.
