Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
   
–  Unclip handle recess -1- from sliding door trim using wedge -T10383/1-.
–  Detach connectors at handle recess -1-.

–  Remove the screw -2- (2 Nm).
–  Unscrew 3 bolts -1- (4.5 Nm).

   
  Caution
When the sliding door trim is separated, there is a risk that fastening elements may be damaged. To avoid this, always follow the specified order and positions of clips when removing the sliding door trim.
–  Protect marked area -A- against damage with adhesive tape.
–  Release sliding door trim from clips in -specified sequence-. Use wedges -T10383- to do this.

–  Pull sliding door trim upwards vertically out of window slot; the sliding door operating mechanism remains attached to the sliding door.
Installing
–  Install in reverse order of removal.
  Note
t  Before installing, check retaining clips for damage and renew if necessary.
t  Before installation, check that the cable for operating the door from the inside has been routed correctly and, if necessary, correct.
   
  Caution
Before installing door trim, ensure that the locking mechanisms of all clips are in -position 1-.
It is not possible to install the door trim without problem if clips are in -position 2-!
