Attaching roof reinforcement to body - vehicles without sliding sunroof

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  One-component-assembly-adhesive -AMV 190 M00-
   
–  Remove headliner.
  E70-10179
–  Apply adhesive beads -arrow- to roof reinforcement, as shown in illustration.
l  Interval between glue beads -dimension a- ≈ 90 mm.
l  Distance of the outer adhesive beads to the edge of the roof reinforcement -Dimension b- 20 mm.
l  Diameter of the adhesive cord ≈ Ø 5 ÷ 1.25 mm.
  E70-10180
–  Position roof reinforcement -1- on roof of body centrally between outer edges and at distance -a- from cross strut -2- of rear edge of roof.
l  Dimension -a- = 30 mm.
–  Impress the roof reinforcement from the inside onto the auto body roof.
–  Installation of headliner
