Removing and installing upper steering column trim > < Removing and installing dash panel insert trim
Removing and installing dash panel trim (passenger side)
Removing and installing dash panel trim (passenger side)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-
Removal
  W00-0990
–  Switch off ignition.
–  On front passenger side remove cover for dash panel to side → Chapter.
–  Remove middle dash panel trim → Chapter.
–  Remove centre console: → Chapter.
–  Remove A-pillar trim → Chapter.
–  Remove bolts -1- (1.5 Nm).
–  Release dash panel cover -2- from dash panel and remove.
–  Disconnect wiring harnesses and plug as you do so, depending on vehicle equipment level.

Installation
  Note
Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if necessary.
–  Installation is carried out in reverse order.
–  All mountings for the cover must be properly engaged in the dash panel with the retaining clips -3-.
