The automatic belt retractor has two locking functions. |
Note The first locking function is triggered by pulling the belt quickly out of the belt retractor. |

| Pull the belt out with force. |

| If it does not lock, replace the complete seat belt with buckle |

| If there are faults on removal or return of the belt, then check whether the position of the inertia reel device has been modified |
Note The second locking function is triggered by a change in vehicle speed (vehicle-dependent locking function). |

| Accelerate to 20 km/h and brake hard with the foot brake. |

| If the seat belt does not lock when braking, the complete belt and buckle must be replaced |
WARNING For safety reasons, this test should be carried out in a section where there is no traffic and there is no danger to other road users. |
