Removing and installing foot rest

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-

Removal

–	Remove lower A-pillar trim on driver side → Chapter.

–	Fold back floor covering over foot rest -2-

–	Fold back floor insulation over foot rest -2-

–	Remove nut -1- (2 Nm).

–	Remove foot rest -2- from bodywork stud -3-.

–	Guide centring pin of foot rest -4- out of bodywork.

Installation

Note

Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and renew if necessary.

–	Installation is carried out in reverse order.
