–  Apply glue all around the pre-applied gluing joint -1- at right angles with respect to the glass.
  WARNING
The glass should be fitted in 5 minutes, otherwise the adherence of the adhesive will be affected.
–  Fit the glass in the space using the suction pads -VAG 1344-, centre it and press it as far as the spacing core.
–  Windscreen tolerances → Chapter .

–  Secure the windscreen during the setting time using the adjusting wedges. Allocation →  Parts catalogue.
–  For the windscreen fitting, place the mirror -1- turning 60° to 90º with respect to the fitting position and turn it -arrow- until the spring engages.
–  Fit a rubber joint for the window wiper motor shaft to the window.
–  The re-activator should not be applied on the collector bar of the heated rear window.
–  Rear windscreen tolerances → Chapter.
–  During the hardening time, fix the windscreen with adhesive tape.
–  If the gluing cord applied is very thick, and the adhesive spreads to the window heater zone, this adhesive must be removed.
  Note
When fitting new windscreen glass, remove the transport protection from the attachment strip for the plenum chamber before fitting.
