Steering wheel: Removing and fitting > < Airbag unit driver's side, removal

Airbag unit driver's side, assembly
–  Attach the airbag unit connector.
–  Fit the airbag unit .
Continue the assembly in the reverse order to removal, remembering to:
–  Switch off all electrical components.
–  Switch ignition on.
–  Close vehicle windows.
–  Connect battery earth cable.
  DANGER!
On connecting the battery earth cable, ensure that there is no-one inside the vehicle .
  Note
t  On reconnecting battery, remember to activate vehicle equipment (radio/radio navigation system, clock, electric window risers) in line with → Instruction Manual.
   
t  If after assembly, the Airbag warning lamp -K75- lights up, the fault memory must be erased using the central diagnosis -VAS 5051- or the central diagnosis -VAS 5052-. After erasing the memory, consult the fault memory again → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
