Front seat: removing and installing
   
Front seat: removing and installing
  WARNING
Disconnect battery earth strap before working on the electrical system.
Instructions
t  When removing and fitting, there are certain differences in the working of the equipment which should be taken into account
t  Before disconnecting the battery, check the radio antitheft code
t  After reconnecting the battery check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows), as shown in the Repair Manual and/or the Owners' Manual.
Removing
–  Move the seat forward.
–  Undo the hood -1- from the batten located on the side of the tunnel -3-, remove the bolt -2-, undo the batten from the seat rail -arrow A- and remove-arrow B-
–  Undo the hood -1- from the batten located on the side of the heel rest -4-, remove the bolt -2-, undo the batten from the seat rail -arrow C- and remove-arrow D-
–  Move seat backwards.
–  Remove the bolts -5- (23 Nm).
–  Take the seat back along the guide rails

   
  Note
Before separating the activation cable and the earth cable, any build up of electrostatic must be eliminated (touching the door slip switch or the bodywork)
–  Uncouple the side airbag connector -1- from the coupling station -2-.
–  Remove the connector for the seat heater from the coupling station, where there is one
–  Attach the connector -4- (airbag adapter -VAS 5094-) in the socket box -5-
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following should be taken into account:
  Note
If, after assembly, the Airbag warning lamp -K75- lights up, the fault memory must be erased using the central diagnosis -VAS 5051- or the central diagnosis -VAS 5052-. After erasing the memory, consult the fault memory again → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
