Leon Mk2
High pressure transmitter -G65-:Check |
Special tools and workshop equipment required |
t | Use the special tools and workshop equipment to check whether the high pressure transmitter -G65- is working or is faulty. |
Connecting the special tools and the ancillary devices |
– | Remove the control unit connector for the engine electronics -3-. |
– | Look for the check box -V.A.G. 1598/22--4- following the illustration for the control unit connector -3- and connect it to the engine wiring unit -2-. |
– | Connect the ignition checking unit -V.A.G. 1767--6-. Fit the earth cable in the checking unit (black hole) to the earth for the vehicle -5-. Connect the measurement cable from the checking unit (green hole) in the input terminal for the check box -V.A.G. 1598/22-, the cable from which is connected in turn to terminal 2 in the high pressure transmitter -1-. Establish a connection -7- using a cable from the set of ancillary measurement cables -V.A.G. 1594A-. |
Note!
t | The connection between the cable in terminal 2 of the high pressure transmitter -1- and the number of the input terminal cable for the check box -V.A.G. 1598/22- may be found in the power circuits diagram for the air-conditioning or the Autoclimate, depending on the type of engine. |
t | Using the power circuits diagram the number of the control unit terminal for the engine electronics may be identified, which is connected to terminal 2 in the high pressure transmitter -1-. This terminal number corresponds to the number for the input terminal in the check box -V.A.G. 1598/22-. |
Check: |
– | Connect the ignition. |
– | Press down the key corresponding to the proportion of the period for the ignition checking unit -V.A.G. 1767- (-arrow-). |
