Adapter for performing flush circuits-VAS 6338/1- t  The following table shows the different adapters necessary for the connection of the air conditioning service station to the refrigerant circuit for rinsing and to bridge the fluid tank or the collector tank and the expansion valve (specific to certain vehicles).

t  With a filler hose with connections 5/8 -18 UNF (short version e.g.filler hose -VAS 6338/31-) join the two adapters mounted on the collector tank or the dismounted fluid tank (included in the adapter kit for SEAT passenger vehicles -VAS 6338/1-). t  If a refrigerant circuit is not going to be mounted immediately after flushing, leave the adapters in the connectors and plug the connectors in the adapters using the hoods -VAS 6338/30- (from the adapter kit for SEAT passenger vehicles -VAS 6338/1-). t  Depending on the version of air conditioning compressor and the manufacturing period, different connection and sealing techniques are used in the refrigerant circuit → Heating, air conditioning.

Ibiza 1993 ► Cordoba 1994 ►	Adapter -VAS 6338/14-	–  Dismount the tank and bridge the refrigerant hoses. t  Adapter -VAS 6338/28- t  Adapter -VAS 6338/29- –  After flushing, fit a new fluid tank.	–  Replace the expansion valve with the adapter -VAS 6338/19- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill e.g. 6N0 820 679 C) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.
Inca 1995 ► Arosa 1996 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/4- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/2- or adapter -VAS 6338/14- high pressure end	–  Dismount the tank and bridge the refrigerant hoses. t  Adapter -VAS 6338/28- t  Adapter -VAS 6338/29- –  After flushing, fit a new fluid tank.	–  Replace the expansion valve with the adapter -VAS 6338/19- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill e.g. 6N0 820 679 C) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.
Ibiza 2002 ► Cordoba 2003 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/12- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/2- High pressure end	–  Remove the dehydrator cartridge and plug the fluid tank. –  After flushing, fit a new dehydrator cartridge.	–  Replace the expansion valve with the adapter -VAS 6338/34- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.

Leon 2006 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/12- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/3- High pressure end	Receiver –  Flush sweeping is possible. –  After flushing, fit a new fluid tank.	–  Replace the expansion valve with the adapter -VAS 6338/18- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.

Alhambra 1996;   Note On vehicles with additional evaporator (Alhambra) it is necessary to flush the front and rear refrigerant circuits separately. The front refrigerant circuit must be sealed with adapter -V.A.G 1785/1-, the adapter -1785/3- and caps -VAS 6338/30-.

Alhambra 1996 up to May 2000 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/7- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/2- High pressure end t  or adapter -VAS 6338/14-	–  As no adapter is available for the container, it will remain installed and will be rinsed. The flush time will increase by approximately 30 minutes due to the additional volume. –  If the refrigerant is still not clean after the third flush, continue flushing until the refrigerant appears clean on passing the observation window. –  After flushing, fit a new fluid (dehydrator) tank. t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/7- low pressure hose for additional evaporator t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/5- high pressure hose for additional evaporator t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/3- with hood -VAS 6338/30- to plug front refrigerant circuit. t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/1- with hood -VAS 6338/30- to plug front refrigerant circuit.	–  Replace the expansion valve (for front and rear circuit) with the adapter -VAS 6338/35- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.
Alhambra 1996 from June 2000 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/7- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/2- High pressure end	–  Remove the dehydrator cartridge and plug the fluid tank. –  After flushing, fit a new dehydrator cartridge. t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/7- low pressure hose for additional evaporator t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/5- high pressure hose for additional evaporator t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/3- with hood -VAS 6338/30- to plug front refrigerant circuit. t  Adapter -V.A.G 1785/1- with hood -VAS 6338/30- to plug front refrigerant circuit.	–  Replace the expansion valve (for front and rear circuit) with the adapter -VAS 6338/35- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.

Alhambra 2011 ►	t  Adapter -VAS 6338/12- Low-pressure end t  Adapter -VAS 6338/3- High pressure end	–  Remove the dehydrator cartridge and plug the fluid tank. –  After flushing, fit a new dehydrator cartridge. t  Adapter -VAS 6338/3- low pressure hose for additional evaporator t  Adapter -VAS 6338/4- high pressure hose for additional evaporator t  The refrigerant hoses that are connected to the 2nd compressor are released, until the adpter can be attached without bending the refrigerant hoses. t  Sealing adapter -VAS 6338/5- for the front refrigeration circuit. t  Sealing adapter -VAS 6338/11- for the front refrigeration circuit.	–  Replace the expansion valve (for front circuit) with the adapter -VAS 6338/18- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  Replace the expansion valve (for rear circuit) with the adapter -VAS 6338/33- (or an expansion valve enlarged with a drill) –  After flushing, fit a new expansion valve.
