Removing and installing fresh air blowerrV2

Removal:
–  Remove the passenger side foot well cover according to the version of the model → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove glove compartment → General body repair, interior; Rep. gr.68.
   
–  Remove bolt -A-.
–  Cut the cable ties to those fitted in the fresh air turbine housing cables -C-
–  Release the block -B- and rotate the fresh air blower housing -C- in -the direction of the arrow-.
  Note
t  Sealing compound may have been applied to connection between housing of fresh air blower -C- and air conditioner unit. Greater force is then required to turn housing.

t  In the casing -C- the Fresh air blower -V2- and the Fresh air blower control unit -J126- are fitted and cannot be replaced separately → Parts catalogue.
  WARNING
The heat sink at the fresh air blower control unit -J126- may be hot.
–  Remove housing of fresh air blower-C- from air conditioning unit.
  Caution
Do not touch the wheel of the fresh air blower -V2-; the use of force on the wheel or movement of the counterweights can cause imbalance which could lead to malfunction.
–  Unplug connector -D-.
Installation
Re-install all parts removed in reverse order; note the following:
  Note
t  When installing, make sure that fresh air blower is correctly seated in air conditioning unit.
t  Following the installation, check the correct positioning of the fresh air blower casing in the air conditioning and the operation of the Fresh air blower control unit -J126-.
–  Consult the fault memory of the control and indication panel Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase the faults that appear. → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 505X in "Guided fault finding" function.
–  Carry out the basic setting and diagnosis of the air conditioning actuators the consult the fault memory once again. → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 505X in "Guided fault finding" function.
