  Note
t  During model year 2006 the thermosensor for fresh air intake channel -G89- was gradually phased out; vehicles without this can only have control and indication panels,Climatronic control unit -J255-, with the original part number from index „M“. → Spare parts catalogue
t  If vehicles without thermosensor - fresh air intake channel -G89- have a control and indicator panel, Climatronic control unit -J255-, with the part number up to index „L“, an entry is made in the fault memory.
Removal:
–  Remove the dash panel complete with the dash panel cross-member. → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70
–  Remove air conditioning unit → Chapter.
   
–  Unplug connector -A-.
–  Turn temperature sensor -B- by 90° and pull out of intake duct.
–  When installing, make sure seal -C- is correctly seated.
Installation
Re-install all components removed in reverse order.
