Removing and installing air recirculation flap control motor -V113-
  Note
t  An end switch is mounted in the recirculated-air flap servomotor -V113-.
t  The air flow flap (fresh air flap) ia actuated using a cam disk and a lever of the Recirculated-air flap servomotor -V113-.
t  Check the function of the servomotor as follows, for example: connect both contacts „5“ and „6“ to a plug of the control motor to a 12 V direct current voltage source. Control motor then moves only in one direction as far as stop. Interchanging positive and negative reverses direction. Use an adapter lead for this purpose → Chapter.
t  Following the fitting of a new servomotor, carry out the basic adjustment of the air conditioning → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
t  With the function „basic adjustment“ additional tests can be done for the activation of the air conditioning electric components, for example, that they are not mixed up → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
Removal:
–  Remove the passenger side foot well cover according to the version of the model → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove glove compartment → Interior body installation work; Rep. gr.68.
   
–  If necessary mark connector -A- (to prevent interchange if several connectors are simultaneously unplugged).
–  Unplug connector -A-.
–  Release catches -C- and -D- for bracket -B- at intake duct and remove bracket -B- (towards rear).

–  Remove the servo motor -A- from the air inlet.
Installation
–  Check the axle of the air recirculation flap -C- before fitting the servo motor -A-.
–  Set shaft -C- such that connecting element of control motor -D- can be inserted.
–  Insert control motor with connecting element -D- in shaft -C- and mountings of intake duct -B-.

–  Install bracket -A-, taking particular care to ensure that guide of bracket -B- is properly inserted in mounting of intake duct -C- and that bracket is correctly engaged in both catches -D- and -E-.
–  With both motor actuators, check that the bracket -A- keeps these in their position. When they are not installed free of play, eliminate the play at hand with a little foam that is applied to the inner side of the fixing points -F- of the bracket -A-.
Re-install all parts removed in reverse order; note the following:
–  Route wiring harness so that it cannot come into contact with moving components (e.g. control motor lever).
–  Consult the fault memory of the Air conditioning control unit -J301- and erase the faults that appear → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
–  Carry out the basic adjustment and diagnostic of the air conditioning actuators the consult the fault memory once again → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
  Note
In case of complaint with regard to moisture in the interior, check the air recirculation flap as well. This must be closed completely.
