| The operating unit is fitted with a warning lamp that shows the activation of the selected function. Furthermore, the display of the radio or the navigation system shows the selected function when briefly pressing one of the buttons or a controller. |

| When the control lamp does not illuminate after pressing the AC button, a fault saved in the control unit may be at hand. Call up the error memory with the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- (or successor models). If the fault „Initial commissioning of the air conditioning compressor not performed“ is stored, the adjustment „Initial commissioning of the air conditioning compressor “ must be performed. |

| In the main menu of the instrument panel, you are able to switch the temperature unit (°C or °F) that appears on the display of the radio or navigation system. The main menu opens via the rocker button on the windscreen wiper lever (or via the multi-function steering wheel). In the next step, select the configuration, units and temperatures. |

| Pressing the AUTO button will cancel all settings which deviate from automatic operation. |

| Activate the OFF button, Climatronic turned off. The heater and ventilation do not begin with their operation. |

| Deactivated AC button; air conditioner compressor adapts itself in such a way that only a minimum quantity of air flows. The heating and ventilation operations continue to be controlled automatically. |
