Bracket for air conditioner compressor: removing and fitting, ATD, ASZ, AXR and BLT engines

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Dynamometric wrench -SAT 8010- (5 - 50 Nm)
  Note
t  The compressor support and its parts can be removed and installed without opening the refrigerant circuit.
t  To remove the Poly-V belt:
   
→ Rep. Gr.13
1 - Bracket for alternator, compressor and injection pump
Removing
–  Alternator: removing → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27
–  Remove the compressor from the support and fix it to the body with a suitable tool (e.g. soldering wire) → Fig..
–  Loosen the bolts that fix the bracket to the cylinder block.
Fitting
t  Before fitting, it is necessary to:
–  Replace fixing bolts.
–  Note the order of tightening of the securing bolts.
t  Tightening torques: First, tighten hexagon bolts -A,B,C,D,E- and then hexagon bolt → Item-F-.

q   50 Nm
q   6 units
3 - Compressor
q   Removing:
–  Remove the hexagon bolts, → Item.
–  Remove the compressor from the support and fix it to the body with a suitable tool (e.g. soldering wire) → Fig..
4 - Hexagonal combi bolt
q   M8X100
q   25 Nm
q   3 units
5 - Dowel sleeves
q   2 units
q   Make sure the cylinder head supports are correctly seated.
6 - Tensioning device for Poly-V belt
7 - Tensioning element for the tensioning roller

   
Fixing the air conditioning compressor to the body
If the air conditioning compressor is removed and the refrigerant circuit does not open, the compressor must be fixed to the body with a suitable tool (e.g. welding wire).
Make sure that the refrigerant hoses of the compressor are not taut.

Poly-V belt routing
  Note
When installing the Poly-V belt, ensure it is correctly seated on the pulleys.
