Instructions for general repairs
  WARNING
Before carrying out any repairs to cables, remove the corresponding fuse or fuses.
  Note
Before any welding work on the vehicle, disconnect the battery → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27.
Only when required by the pertinent safety measures → Chapter or if parts of the air conditioning refrigerant circuit have to be replaced, is it permitted to drain and open the air conditioner refrigerant circuit → Chapter.

The A.C. charging station -SAT 4006C- includes an adaptor for rapid connection to the service connections on the high or low pressure sides of the system.
The manufacturer continuously develops charging stations depending on the latest technology; for this reason the designation and instructions may alter slightly → Equipment instruction manual.
For all other work on the vehicle the refrigerant agent circuit for the air conditioning remains closed.
  W00-2773
If the circuit must be opened, use the conical plugs from the kit -T20017A- to avoid penetration of dust and humidity into the system.
Service work which can be performed on the heater and air conditioner without opening the refrigerant circuit is described in this Workshop Manual → Chapter.
  Note
The connections for the senders / switches mentioned in this workshop manual are provided with a valve which closes automatically when the switches are unscrewed. For this reason, these switches may be replaced in any Seat workshop when the air conditioning system is filled.
Repair jobs on the climate control system requiring the drainage of the refrigerant circuit, which must therefore be carried out in specific SEAT workshops, are described → Chapter (to drain the refrigeration circuit the vehicle must be brought to a support workshop specialised in air conditioning systems).
