t  Carry out the preparation work as described for the removal of the pulley version “1” → Chapter.
t  The pulley is made from plastic and is quite fragile, for this reason manipulate it with due care.
   
t  If the drive plate -C- protection against overload has been activated, the drive plate may be levered easily following the removal of the circlip -A- from the pulley -D-.

t  To reduce the noise, the pulley drive plate -A- can incorporate a plastic disk -B- → Spare parts catalogue. This disk -B- reduces the rattling noise of the pulley, which may occur in Diesel engine vehicles in “Econ” mode (activation of the compressor cancelled) (the noise is barely perceptible when the air conditioning is full on).
