Testing the overpressure valve in the compressor

Function: to protect the refrigerant circuit from excessively high pressures.

WARNING

There is a freezing hazard.

With the engine running and excess pressure in the refrigerant circuit, the overpressure discharge valve releases refrigerant.

Switch the engine off.

It opens on reaching 40 ± 4 bar

It closes on reaching 31 bar

t	The overpressure discharge valve -arrow- will react if refrigerant oil is attached in the surrounding area.

t	In this case, the vehicle should be taken to a suitable workshop
