t  Voltage tester -VAG 1527B-
Fresh air/air recirculation mode key fitted in the heating control unit -J65-
  Note
t  With the air recirculation option there may be fogging of the windows (due to an increase in the humidity of the air in the passenger compartment and its deposit on the windows; the air is not dried as it is in vehicles fitted with air conditioning).
t  The function “air recirculation” is turned off when the ignition is turned off. When the ignition is turned on once more, the Servomotor for the fresh air / air recirculation flap -V154- is activated by the Heating control unit -J65- and the heating system changes from air recirculation mode to fresh air mode (if the air recirculation mode was already selected).

t  To clear the windows that are fogged as quickly as possible, it is only possible to use the air recirculation option for a limited time; the rotating control for air distribution -B- is in the position for the “windscreen”-D- The Heating control unit -J65- changes to the fresh air option after placing the rotating control for air distribution into this position (and the button LED is turned off).
t  Test the operation of the button for the air recirculation option and activation of the Servomotor for fresh air / air recirculation flap -V154- → Chapter.
